Let's creep it real. Kitchens can be a real nightmare to remodel. When you commit to a complete remodel, it usually makes a whole chunk of your house unusable. You might have to live in the basement (or, worse, Elm Street). Since the beginning of the pandemic, home remodels have become all the rage. Staying in is the new going out. Do you believe that people can dream what's going to happen? Because Freddie isn't the only one interested in turning dreams into reality. At Maverick Home Remodeling, we like making your dreams come true. Remodeling dreams; not the kind that requires a crucifix.
One, two, backsplashes just for you. A backsplash is the perfect partial remodeling project. It's a relatively easy thing to do. They're highly individual and unique because you pick the designs, styles and variations (with our help if you'd like). They keep your walls MUCH easier to clean. Compared to practically any other possible remodeling project, this one is highly affordable. It even adds value to your home in the long run! Check out some of the backsplashes we've done below. They are to die for.
Three, four, paint a cabinet door. You can paint it. Swap the handles out. Install new doors. Whatever you want! A little cabinet overhaul can change the look of your entire kitchen. It can open up your space, balance colorful walls or modernize the space. Our before-and-after sliders make it possible to imagine what it would look like if just the cabinets were changed. Whatever you do, don't sleep… on the benefits of new cabinets.
Five, six, swap electronics. When we say "electronics," we mean appliances, but that didn't rhyme, and we're working with a theme. Previously, this kitchen had a white fridge—we KNOW! The horror. We replaced the refrigerator and oven with stainless steel, modern ones, bringing the kitchen out of the 80s and into today. Outdated appliances are harder to look at than a 10th installation of the Freddie franchise.
Seven, eight, let's illuminate. Lighting is one of the essential elements of design in any space because you're left in the dark without it. And who knows what's lurking there?! It can add to a kitchen's functionality, aesthetic and even mood. The owners of our next remodel wanted to keep the rustic look but ditch the antiquated feeling. Part of their problem was the lighting fixtures. We updated them with glass-encased Edison bulbs, which also offered a more cohesive look. Almost all the lighting came from overhead lights, which is harsh. It’s no knifed-glove to the face, but it isn’t pleasant. We added lighting underneath the cabinets to take care of that! No need to be afraid of the dark.
