Events might be cancelled in Colorado, but nature is not! While we are all still adjusting to the major shift in our lives that Coronavirus has caused, we are fortunate to live in a state that allows us to explore great outdoors. We have created a list of 5 adventures you can enjoy in Colorado while maintaining social distancing. Check it out!
1. Visit The Denver Botanic Gardens
The Denver Botanic Gardens has begun gradually re-opening to the public. Before you take a drive into Denver to visit these beautiful gardens, there are some things to keep in mind. First, you will need to either purchase a ticket or make a member reservation online for a specific date. You can purchase tickets here. Tickets are made available two weeks at a time, but cannot be purchased onsite. Tickets are site specific so reservations need to be made for either the York Street or Chatfield Farms location. For more information, see below!

2. Hike a State Park
Fortunately for us, state parks are open. With that, the current state guideline does require that residents stay within 10 miles of their home when visiting state parks for recreation. We recommend Roxborough State Park, which has over 4,000 acres of forest to explore as well as the Waterhouse Homestead. Day use passes can be purchased at the park’s self-service stations. Or get an annual pass, which gives you unlimited access to all state parks across Colorado. For more information on visiting Roxborough State Park, visit below.

3. Enjoy Yoga On The Rocks
Summertime concerts and films at Red Rocks might be cancelled, but you can still visit the park and enjoy a morning sunrise workout with Yoga On The Rocks! Check out their schedule here. If you’d simply like to visit the park, Red Rocks is open. Entrances 1 and 2 are open for vehicle entry and are permitted to remain until 1 hour after sunset. See below to understand that they are doing to keep you safe,

4. Hop on a Hot Air Balloon
Who doesn’t love a picturesque view of the mountains from the air? Fair Winds Balloon Flights is open and operating safely for your pleasure! Limited passenger capacity, face masks, hand sanitizer and disposable gloves are just a few of the procedures they have implemented to keep your ride safe. They are running an Internet Summer Special for $70.00 off. These rides are a little pricey, but totally worth the experience. Check it out below.

5. Camp. Camp. Camp.
The most perfect outing has got to be a weekend camping trip. While there are many absolutely gorgeous spots to camp in Colorado, we’re going to focus on the Piñon Flats Campground at the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern Colorado. Both Loops 1 and 2 are now open and are $20 / per night. Sites do need to be reserved by calling 1(877) 444-6777 or by visiting recreation.gov. No reservations are needed for day visits to the park. Given this summer's limitations, we cannot think of a better time to explore and enjoy the many adventures that make Colorado our most favorite place to live and work. And while there are many more to add to this list, we hope this gives you a sense of peace and some fun during this trying time.
