Kaye began her career after earning her BFA in Interior Design from Iowa State University. With over 27 years of experience, Kaye is guided by her love for design. And while Kaye’s portfolio includes designs that range from Earthy Modern, to Mountain Elegant, to Urban Contemporary and Traditional styles, Kaye says that every project is completely different. The difference in projects is due to Kaye’s motivation for every design. Her philosophy is to base her designs on the individual homeowner. She doesn’t focus on one style or genre but instead focuses on what the homeowner actually wants. She takes their likes and interests and makes designs that reflect the homeowner, then adds in all of the designs aesthetics needed to make a home really shine.
Some of the design elements that Kaye loves to work with are true Colorado materials - like stone. She utilizes a mixture of textures and colors in nature which she feels are elements that are great to pull from in any design. One of the most popular features in a home remodel, according to Kaye, are feature walls - specifically, split-face stone walls or 3D modern wood paneled walls. Basically, the idea is to bring nature into the home, and in Colorado, we are FULL of incredible materials to use.
