If you’re someone who truly enjoys home renovation before and after photos, then you’ll love these two bathroom remodels! Located in Roxborough, Colorado, this featured remodel is by our Project Manager, Paul Moore. One note Paul mentioned when describing this project was that these bathroom remodels went incredibly smooth. We love to hear that!

One thing we like to highlight in our home remodeling case studies are the challenges we often face in our line of work. We actually wrote an entire blog about the types of things we may run into during demolition. Check it out here. Challenges often appear after demolition due to structural items our team cannot see that linger behind the drywall, under the floors, or in areas otherwise hidden by the naked eye. BUT, here’s the thing with Project #2402’s two bathroom remodels, we didn’t really have any. If you read through our previous featured remodel, you can see that each project highlighted had several challenges our team masterfully worked through. Having no challenges in a home remodel is always refreshing. So, how were there none? Well…

This home remodel in Roxborough, Colorado included two bathroom remodeling projects. One was a complete master bathroom remodel, and the second was a full bathroom remodel in the lower level. Each bathroom had a complete tear-out and fortunately, no glaring obstacles or challenges were discovered. The footprint of each bathroom stayed fairly the same and our team had great access to plumbing. Because of these reasons, our challenges remained low.

As we mentioned, the master bathroom’s footprint remained the same. The bathroom, however, got a total makeover! Not only did we install a new freestanding tub creating more space, we replaced everything within the space. One thing we noticed pre-demo, that is worth mentioning, was that the shower seat was very low and slanted. As a local home remodeling company in Littleton, Colorado, we pride ourselves on doing things right the first time. So, we adjusted the seat in the new shower to have a standard height and proper pitch. Another feature we added in was a zero-scape pan for the walk-in shower. Zero-scape pans allow for a person to walk from outside the shower door and into the shower without stepping over any obstacle. This is a great solution for aging-in-place, which are important considerations during Maverick’s pre-construction services for our customers.

The downstairs bathroom had been added to the lower level space prior to our customer purchasing this home. In our assessment of the bathroom, it was clear changes were necessary. The bathroom had a 24-inch walkway between the sink and bathtub, and had an awkward layout where the corner of the tub deck was easy to knock a knee or foot when entering the bathroom. So, we tore it all out and started from scratch. We removed the tub and installed a beautiful walk-in shower. We replaced the old shower with a tower cabinet for additional storage and increased the size of the vanity area. For the toilet area next to the existing window, the new ¾ shower wall provides the necessary privacy while allowing natural light for the entire bathroom. Overall, this bathroom became more visually pleasing and so much more functional.

In this remodel, the homeowners worked with designer Carole Lofing with Redesignology to come up with the beautiful designs you see in the space. Our team took their vision and brought it to life.

Like all Maverick home renovations, preparation and dust mitigation is key, and this remodel was no different. Our team put a lot of effort and care into taking care of our client’s home. We covered the flooring, provided stair railing protection, and ensured that all subcontractors performed as much work as possible outside of the home to minimize dust and debris.

This home remodel was an absolute blast and truly ran incredibly smooth! Bringing the homeowners and designer’s vision to life was amazing. We absolutely loved seeing these two bathroom remodels in Roxborough, Colorado come together.
