Bring The Outdoors Inside

We say throw those doors open, let the sunlight, scent of pine, and mountain air in, and incorporate our love for the outdoors inside.

Show off your love for the outdoors and bring Colorado’s natural beauty into every room with these 8 tips:

Prepare for Holiday House Guests with a Well-Stocked Bathroom

Whether they’re spending the night, moving in, or simply over for an evening of wine, a well-stocked, welcoming guest bath is the mark of a great host.

Giving your guest bath some extra attention could be the thing to tie your entire home together. And what better opportunity to WOW guests with your bathroom design than when they’re staying over for the holidays!

We will work with you to make the best plan, considering everything from space, storage, lighting, design, and of course, budget.

Renew Your Life? Renew Your Home

Picture your morning routine: You’re running late. Your kitchen is disorganized. You burn your breakfast. You rush out of the door but can’t locate your car keys…

From small changes like adding built-in storage to remodels that implement smart assistants, home improvements have the power to improve not only your home, but your quality of life.

Home is an extension of thy self in so many ways. It is our shrine - each item, handpicked, speaks of you in every way. It is where you can be 100% your authentic self. It is where the heart rests. And, your environment can greatly affect how you operate in the world. So, your home should be a place that recharges you emotionally and makes you feel happier living in it, not one that’s draining and overwhelming.

We all benefit from reevaluating ourselves and making meaningful improvements from time to time. Although pivotal moments may lead to a renewal process, renewal is not a singular event; it’s ongoing! The same is true for your home. As you evolve, so must your space to better suit your needs. And so, renewing your home will renew your life!

Fall Checklist For Home Maintenance

Sweater weather is coming! And that means it’s time for your home’s seasonal maintenance. Taking steps now is key to keeping your home looking and functioning great as you transition into winter months.

We wish all we needed to do to prepare for fall was to break out the throw blankets and candles, and buy a decorative gourd or two. But unfortunately, being a homeowner comes with responsibilities. While everything may seem tip-top now, winter storms can bring cold temperatures, power failures, etc., and a little maintenance now will make your life easier later.

Creating The Ultimate Home Office

In today’s world, whether your office remains closed post-COVID, your children are in hybrid school, or you simply need a quiet area to get work done, having a workspace at home is almost a necessity. Rather than setting up a temporary spot at the dining table or attempting to work on the couch, consider breathing new life into your home with a dedicated home office.

Having a remote setup has many benefits, including increased productivity, savings on commute time and expenses, freedom to create your ideal space, and flexibility. Here are tips for designing an office at home.

Double Duty: Setting Up Multifunctional Rooms

With kiddos going back to school and parents still working remotely, there’s no better time to consider maximizing your home’s space. In the wake of COVID, a versatile interior is essential. For those not living in sprawling estates, multipurpose rooms are a great solution for homeowners looking to use their space effectively and efficiently. Think: kitchens are used for dining and homework stations; home offices double as guest bedrooms.

Of course, every room serves its own function. Your first step is determining the kind of space you need. Will you use it for dining, working, socializing, relaxing? What about working and dining? Socializing and relaxing? There are many areas with crossover uses, and that’s precisely where multifunctional rooms come in! Take a look at our list of room combination ideas to help you live large, no matter your home’s square footage.

7 Home Remodeling Projects That Add the Most Value

Even if you plan on staying in your home for years, it’s always a good idea to take on remodeling projects that will increase its value and be worth the cost of your investment. But if you do plan to sell your home in the near future, considering the cost versus value in your remodeling choices is essential.

So which home remodeling projects actually pay off?

Putting together our years of expertise along with Remodeling’s Mountain Region’s 2022 National Average data, we’ve compiled a list of the six remodeling projects with the best return and highest resale value.

10 Ways to Reduce Cooling Costs This Summer

Can’t stand the heat? You don’t have to get out of the kitchen! We’ve got better, more energy-efficient ways to help you stay cool this summer and hopefully save you money.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the best indoor temperature for your home during summer is 78 degrees. If you’re like us, though, that sounds too dang high! Luckily, we know plenty of renovation remedies to increase home efficiency while curbing temperatures and energy bills.

How to Choose the Right Color Palette for Your Home

The saying goes, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet," but would a house of a different color be as inviting?

Whether you realize it consciously or not, color is fundamental to the world around us: in nature, in fashion, in your loved one’s features, and at home. Choosing a hue can be powerful because of our personal associations with colors and how subjective our perceptions are. If you ever disagreed about the color of an object (maybe a certain dress is blue/black or white/gold), you know what we mean.

Just as your taste in clothing and type of car reflect your personality, so do the colors of your house and the rooms inside. Color psychology has the power to affect your mood, energy levels, and that of your guests.
